As part of Tallinn Maritime Days, there will be a one-day Design Street event held to showcase the excellence of modern Estonian design. It will take place on Saturday, August 27, in the Haven Kakumäe Marina.

“The focus in this year’s Design Street will be eco-friendliness and sustainability. These two themes are featuring prominently in Estonian design and also consumers are becoming more aware and demanding,” says Ilona Gurjanova, organizer of this year’s Design Street.

“Maritime Days is an excellent venue to focus on green principles and think about how we all as consumers can improve the health of the Baltic Sea,” she added.

More than 40 Estonian designers are displaying their artwork ranging from earrings to dresses in this year’s Design Street.

“This is also a unique opportunity to meet the designers face to face and give them feedback. In addition, people often discover new Estonian designers in the Design Street and remain their loyal customers for years,” added Ilona Gurjanova.

“The hosting of the most important design event in the summer 2022 is a major pride for us. It also provides the festival visitors an additional dimension to the sea-related themes. In addition to quality Estonian design we will also offer live music and delicious street food,” said Kati Remmelkoor, manager of Haven Kakumäe program in Tallinn Maritime Days.

The Design Street will be opened in Haven Kakumäe Marina on Saturday, August 27, at 13.00.

Tallinn Maritime Days will be held this year on August 25 - 28 in the cruise area of the Old City Harbour, Seaplane Harbour, Noblessner Marina and Haven Kakumäe Marina.
