Tallinn Maritime Days 2022 is inviting volunteers to sign up and help the organizers with a number of exciting, informative and important tasks to ensure the smooth running of the festival.
“The Maritime Days will take place at the end of August this year and it will be the largest maritime and family festival ever held in Tallinn. Volunteers play an important role in helping us to carry out very different tasks both before and during the event,” said Kristjan Saar, head of the organizing team of Tallinn Maritime Days 2022.
“We expect around 50 to 70 volunteers to sign up. They will help us, for example, in information tents, in transporting smaller items from one place to another, at bottle refund points, and elsewhere,” described Ketter Sarapuu, Volunteer Coordinator at Tallinn Maritime Days.
“We welcome all volunteers who are at least 16 years of age. For young people, this is an excellent opportunity to gain useful work experience and develop communication skills, and the wonderful team of Tallinn Maritime Days is certainly a good place to find new friends among people of all ages,” added Sarapuu.
The volunteers at the event don't have to bring their own feed, as food will be served at the festival and at the end they will receive a small set of memorabilia as a thank-you.
Tallinn Maritime Days will be held this year on August 25-28 in the cruise area of the Old Port, Seaplane Harbour, Noblessner Marina and Haven Kakumäe Marina. Maritime Days is a versatile and spirited summer festival with years of tradition, bringing more than a few hundred artists from Estonia and abroad to the stage. Guest ships that have arrived to Tallinn can be visited and will drive enthusiasts on the Tallinn Bay and there will be a sea taxi shuttling between the ports.
Those interested in volunteering for the Tallinn Maritime Days must fill out a form by 5 August at the latest. The form is available under the following link: https://bit.ly/merepidu
