The Design Street moves to yacht harbour Kakumäe Haven at the Tallinn Maritime Days

On 13th and 14th July will be opened the Design Street in yacht harbour Kakumäe Haven at the Tallinn Maritime Days. For the event have applied up to 50 jewellery and fashion brands from Estonia, Latvia and Russia. „Last year was a real success for the Design Street at the Tallinn Maritime Days and we are happy to greet also this year designers from Estonia and abroad on the occasion of the largest maritime and family event,“ said Kati Remmelkoor, programme manager of the harbour Kakumäe Haven of the Tallinn Maritime Days. „This time the Design Street will surprise with a new location in the newly constructed sailships´winter repository of the yacht harbour Haven Kakumäe, that has been designed by the architects of KAMP. We are expecting a lot of visitors, because it is the first time that there will be so much local design in the beautiful harbour Haven Kakumäe,“ added Ms. Remmelkoor. From the Design Street one can find different fashion accessories, clothes, make-up and home design elements, but also special souvenirs for children and pets. Kirke Tatar,  marketing manager of the Design Street said, that already approximately 50 jewellery and fashion brands have applied, but considering an active application period, they are expecting to fill the whole building with interesting sellers. „The Design Street features famous designers as well as some newcomers. The designers feature for example Eve Hanson, Ellen Richard, Donna Nordica, also this time we have a leather designer Kadri Kruus. Of the jewellery brands I would like to bring out SOMA, Anneli Tammik and Tohuto. Fashion friends can also try for example clothes made of linen and bamboo.“   Ms. Tatar added, that on the Design Street visitors will be able to see some new collections of important designers and the first ones will have the opportunity to buy models with special price. In addition to the optics and buying design elements, it is possible to listen to the stories of fishermen, try some seafood, participate in activities for children and listen to some good concerts. Of sea activities there is possible to go supsurfing, yachting or take a boat. Entrance to the area is free for all. The Design Street is a commercial platform created by the Estonian Association of Designers, that enables designers to sell and introduce their products. The Estonian Association of Designers is a creative association unifying professional designers, that has the goal of introducing the Estonian design in Estonia and abroad. There are 150 members in the the Association. The Tallinn Maritime Days take place from 12th to 14th July in the Old City Marina, Seaplane Harbour, Port Noblessner and Haven Kakumäe. The Tallinn Maritime Days 2019 program is public

  This year's Tallinn Maritime Days will take place on July 12-14 in four ports of Tallinn. Today, on May 29th, the organizers announced the program of the Maritime Festival taking place at the Old Harbour, Seaplane Harbour, Noblessner Harbour and Haven Kakumäe Marina. This year, the organizers want to give the opportunity to go to the sea to as many people as possible. Several shipping lines are open that operate regularly during the Maritime Days. There are also cruises on the bay and sea taxis running on a tight schedule.

A Design Street will be opened at the Tallinn maritime days!

On the 14th of July, during the Tallinn maritime days the Design Street in Noblessner Harbour Town will be opened, where visitors will be able to explore and purchase a diverse range of Estonian design while enjoying music and various sea activities.

The Tallinn maritime days programme is public!

This year's Tallinn maritime days bring exciting entertainment on land as well as on the sea. The entertainment program brings visitors the opening concert on the sea, a concert that travels around the world and "Estonia's Pop Idol" finalists and many more. Visitors can enjoy searides, try standup paddleboarding and participate in many sea workshops. The children can have fun with this year's special guest Lotte and her friends.
